configurable bans and wallhack detection

I want to be able to turn off detox bans completely. (means it would only kick players that dont follow detox rules)
And the cvar detection is one thing I want to turn off too.

I just want to use antispeedhack and antiwalllhack.
And I want the antispeedhack always should decompensate speedhack, even if it detects a very overrate. (not ban a overrate player)

Another thing I want to be able turn off is the radar feature, that makes opponents hit by teammates visible on other teammates radar.
This would mean a Terrorist would never see a blue dot on radar, and a CT would never see a red dot on radar, if this option is turned on.

A Antiwallhack sensitivity option. Ability to specify how many percent of a player that must be visible before the player is considered visible. So if I set 0 there, it is as it works today.

If i set -10 there, the player will be visible when his body edge is 10 % of the player away from wall edge and behind wall. This would make the player WH-visible some period before he really gets visible.

If set to +100, the player must be so no body part are behind a wall before he is made visible by Detox.
If set to +50, at least half of player must be visible before he is made visible by detox.

This would allow server owner to fine-tune the wallhack prevention to be at the best balance of wallhack prevention and affection of gameplay

detox are kicking for ban settings and banning for using cheat cvars (you cant use cheat cvars without cheat hooked in memory)
So why allow using cheat cvars?

About WH sensitivity..ehm i dont know why you need it, current settings are best , i think..

but offtopic about anti-wh: i have high-end server with linux, and i still have poping problems, sometime i see falling evemy's dead bodyes... why?

No, there have been normal players, that use exploitable CVAR's that is NOT flagged as cheat, that get kicked or banned by detox.

With flagged as cheat, i mean when sv_cheats is required to use it.

About WH sensistivity: You are reporting problems with popping. Nobody has reported popping problems on my server, but rather problems with WH's that are still efffective.

I think some sort of setting that allows the server owner to set how "harsh" the anti-wh should be, would be good. Then server owners could fine-tune Detox into the best setting that are the best balance between anti-wallhack and anti-popping.

It depends much on the map too which is the best anti-wh-sensitivity. And these users that are using Eventscripts, can program a separate anti-wh-sensitivity setting for each map.
(By using event es_map_start and executing the detox cvars via that event)

Users has also reported that WH's get effective when their teammate hit opponents. The cause of this problem is the radar feature builtin CSS that makes a opponent appear on the radar if he is hit by one of your teammates.

I want to disable this radar feature in some way via a detox CVAR to ensure maximum antiwh, even if it affects gameplay a little.

Some very valid suggestions. After we get ready for the move to the Orange Box engine, we will be implementing new features again and looking at how we can improve existing features such as the anti-wallhack algorithm. One of the ways we plan on doing this is specifying how accurate anti-wallhack should be, with a higher accuracy using slightly more CPU, etc. We will take your suggestions into account. Thanks :)

SSlice:

The antiwallhack accuracy option would be a good thing, but still the player would be completely 100 % visible in wallhack even if 0,1 % of the player is normally visible.

but I think it should exist a option both for accuracy, and for how "harsh" the antiwallhack should be.
Like how many percent of the player must be visible before Detox considers this player as visible and sends data about player.

So setting 50 % there would require that at least 50 % of player is normally visible without wallhack to a player before detox sends data about player...

And what do you think about a ability to turn off the feature that reports every player that been shot by a teammate, to every other teammates radar...

Its a standard game feature, that if a teammate shoots a opponent, it will appear on my radar.
This means that player appear in any wallhack other player uses.

It would be good to have option to turn of that game feature completely.

Yes, it may be an option for us to add something to do this. I can see why this would be a problem. We'll see about adding an option to disable it.
