Wow...I was just playing gun game source on my favorite server and was banned for no reason. There were about 20 people in there and I thought since I won the round maybe it thought I hacked. When I went back to check if I could get back in 2 minutes later everyone in the whole server had been banned....WTF....if you guys don't know what you're doing don't mess up everyone elses play time. I have never seen an anti cheat ban a whole server before and I have been playing cs for 8 yrs.....NUBS....maybe you should try shit out before you let the public use it.

The Detox plugin has been around for a very long time and works well under most conditions. These guys are programmers and understand what they are doing. Obviously you don't know how programming works or you would never have said anything. These folks have thoroughly tested Detox and it has always worked fine. Why you would take the time to create an ID here just to blast the good folks who do this all for free is beyond me. What a tool.
There appears to be a problem that just started yesterday with some sort of compatibility between this plugin and something else on SOME, but not all servers using Detox. I have a Community with 8 servers, and only one is having problems. This is not the Detox folks fault. Microsoft released updates to it's Windows end user operating systems including a Windows XP update on 8/13/08 and a Windows Vista update on 8/15/08 that have screwed up Detox for some players. Give them some time fix it. In the meantime, the operator of your "favorite server" should temporarily disable Detox until the problem can be resolved. So contact them.
Don't be part of the problem by making useless flaming remarks about something you have no clue about. Instead, help out by being part of the solution and tell them something that will assist them with dealing with the problem. Otherwise, leave them to their work and quit wasting webspace and reading time with your useless comments.

4 Days i have been running Detox on my server with no problems, myself my regulars are still joining game and staying without being kicked.
The only persons not joining anymore are the ones that i got Detox for.
I also am very unhappy with it ...... i turned sv_cheats "on" and i went into noclip and POOF i was banned .. .. I dont know what you guys are going but it should recognize things like that ..... thanks .... im now also on steam bans list ......... please unban me .................................all i have to say
Banned by SteamBans for sv_cheats, nor added to the blacklist when 'detected' by Detox, you only get banned when caught cheating and there is evidence to back that up. Feel free to protest your ban,
i get lag spikes from my wireless and everyone accuses me of speed hacking. My lag spikes to the complete opposite because whenever i get one i seem to jump from one place to another and for a few seconds am not able to move or shoot. This is frustrating for me because for one it is a major disadvantage and to i am fucking banned. What can i do?

The creators of detox are giving something away for free to help people like you and me have a more enjoyable online gaming experience,,, keep the abuse coming so one day they wont provide it and then ppl like you will whinge the loudest.
keep up the good work with detox , it's not perfect but you write something better :)
