All our servers have been running the latest version of Detox for over a year now with no significant problems. It's a great plug-in!
Microsoft released updates to it's Windows end-user operating systems including a Windows XP update on 8/13/08 and a Windows Vista update on 8/15/08 that have screwed up Detox for many of our players. The plugin is now banning dozens of legitimate players so we were forced to disable it until the problem can be found.
I just wanted you all to know that if your player counts are dropping like crazy and you're running Detox, it very well may be they are getting banned when they join since these updates were run on their PCs. It has been confirmed by many of our regular players that it is in fact Detox that is doing the banning. These are people who have been playing with us for months with no custom content on their PCs. It appears Gungame servers are the hardest hit. Our non-GunGame servers appear to be doing ok (a least we have had no complaints and the GG banned people can still join the other server), but we have disabled Detox on them to make sure.

with detob_public 0 detox ban all players on custom maps (maps where are mat_fullbright 1 )
maybe you are running plugins what enable cheat protected cvars etc? i am running classic not moded servers, just Mani+detox = no problems!
